Tom is an accomplished wealth manager with four decades of experience in the financial services  industry.  His unwavering commitment to client success has shaped his career and forms the foundation upon which Wealth Solutions by Design, the firm he founded, has been built. Tom’s fiduciary approach is to treat each family and person with respect for their individuality, unique vision, and attributes.

Tom gains his motivation from seeing clients realize their best life through optimizing wealth possibilities, many times access to which were unknown before their meeting. Throughout his career, he has championed advisor independence, advocating for unbiased advice, and believes clients are best served by an advisor who has no proprietary conflicts of interest.

After graduating from Central Washington University with degrees in Accounting and Finance, Tom worked as a staff accountant at the Weyerhaeuser Company. While working, he attended graduate school at night completing his MBA in 1989. As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® Professional, Tom adheres to the fiduciary standard while using a holistic approach within his wealth management practice.

With a passion for successful outcomes along with extensive training and experience, Tom enjoys being a trusted partner for those seeking financial clarity and prosperity.

Tom lives in both Bremerton, Washington as well as Chandler, Arizona, married to his high school sweetheart, Peggy. A voracious reader, he also enjoys fitness, jazz music, being a foodie, and great wine! As founding trustees for the Deichert Family Shining Light Foundation, Tom, and Peggy hope to empower people to realize their unique God-given gifts and thereby their best lives.
