It may sound like a cliché, but Kylee can truly say what she does for a living is her passion. She graduated from Trinity Western University, a small Christian university in Langley, British Columbia, with a Bachelor of Business Administration, double specializing in Finance and Financial Planning. When she began her studies, her goal was to specialize in Finance, driven by an interest in the technical aspects of the markets and investing. Fortunately, she had an incredible professor with a passion for financial planning, and his influence led her to pursue the financial planning designation towards the end of her degree. During school and upon graduation, she worked in banking at various institutions, big and small, across Canada, as well as a local bank in Kitsap County. She was fortunate to learn about Wealth Solutions by Design at a conference, where she met Cat and decided to make the switch less than a year ago. (And, by 'make the switch,' we mean Tom chose to hire her.) One of her best traits is that she's like a sponge when it comes to knowledge – she loves soaking up insights from her superiors and learning as much as she can from every experience. She now gets to work with one of the brightest minds in this industry and looks forward to growing her career alongside Tom and the team at Wealth Solutions by Design.
All Kylee needs to say is that she's Canadian, and you should be able to sum up her character quickly. She's nice and says “sorry” a lot. She loved growing up in Southern Alberta and occasionally misses the snow – emphasis on occasionally. Being away from her family means they have more of an excuse to travel together, which is one of her favorite things to do when she's not working. She's a true homebody at heart, though, and would choose a good book and her couch over a trip any day of the week. She loves baking, shopping, spending time outdoors, playing cards with friends, and yapping the day away with Margie and Cat. She doesn’t want anyone to worry that she's a CFL fan – Canadian football doesn’t make any sense, and she was born to a Washington State native, so Seahawks football is in her blood. Kylee could not feel more blessed to have been led to this community and for the opportunity to work with this amazing team and incredible clients.
